The Char Dham, meaning “Four Sacred Destinations,” refers to a group of four important Hindu pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand, India. These sites are considered among the holiest places for Hindus, and visiting them is believed to wash away one’s sins and help attain moksha (liberation from the cycle of life and death).
Important Destinations:
✅Shri Kedarnath Ji Dham: Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Garhwal Himalayas. The temple, set amidst snow-capped peaks, is a major pilgrimage site and is believed to cleanse devotees’ sins.
✅ Shri Badrinath Ji Dham: Badrinath is a sacred temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites, attracting millions of devotees for its spiritual significance and stunning Himalayan backdrop.
